Walking along the C&O Canal in Georgetown in the early morning, I saw a lost umbrella in the water. At first glance it did not seem very interesting, but walking around I realized that from a different perspective the colorful reflections of a high building created a very nice background and contrast with the umbrella black shape. Likely, during the next rain, the old umbrella will disappear forever. But even an old object of little value can make a significant contribution to an image and survive thanks to photography. At the right time in the right place, with a bit of luck.
