I found this fantastic masterpiece accidentally, while I was looking for another mural in my list. This is another incredible work by Joel Bergner, alias Joel Artista, author of Cultivating the Rebirth, shown in this gallery too. Felipe's Story is Joel’s most recent work in a series of murals on the art center BloomBars. After discovering this impressive mural, I decided to explore more about this artist and this masterpiece. I found his interesting blog, https://joelartista.com/, where the author explains that “the piece features a boy in the City of God community, in Rio de Janeiro, who Joel has known since 2009, when he began doing community-based art projects with youth. The imagery reflects the struggle that boys in many marginalized neighborhoods go through as they grow up, surrounded by negative and positive influences.
