This is a detail of the monumental staircase inside the National Archeological Museum of Naples (Italy).
The contrast of light between the lighted wall and the Greek statue drew my attention immediately. Although I shot this image in colors, even the original was essentially monochrome. I converted it in greyscale in Camera RAW, to eliminate the pale yellow colors of the lamps, on the left under the arch. I believe that the B&W choice helps to better focus on the statue and the lovely position of the hand holding the robe, stressed by the light column in the background.
